DESCRIPTION:Create an online account to register for youth basketball at https://fircrest.recdesk.com/Community/Home \nThe City of Fircrest K/1st and 2/3rd grade basketball leagues are designed to introduce the fundamentals of youth basketball in a FUN and friendly environment. Typically\, each team has 10-12 players on a roster and all team members will play. An average of 2 events (games/practices) per week can be expected.\nPlayers are assigned to teams by the league\, considering the special parental requests made during the registration process. Special requests are strongly encouraged to align friends from school\, neighborhood\, or the preference of a specific coach. Although the league does its best to accommodate the special requests of parents and coaches\, such requests cannot always be honored due to the large number of participants in the program.\nBasketball practices will be played on weeknights and the volunteer coach will pick the days/times. Games will be played on Saturdays between 9am – 4pm.\n\n  \n\n

You have until the Judging to complete your decorations.\nEach home participating in the Scarecrows of Fircrest will receive a numbered yard sign to display during the competition.\nThe yard sign must be displayed in a visible location in your yard.\nOn October 20th\, our team of judges will travel to each registered home for judging.\nYour decorations must be completed by this date.\nPrizes and bragging rights will be announced on October 26th.\nAn electronic list of registered homes\, for self-guided tours\, will be available on the City of Fircrest Website and City Facebook event page. Paper copies will be available at select local businesses and Fircrest City Hall.\nEach registered participant will receive a commemorative “Scarecrows of Fircrest” collectors token (first 80 registrants).\n\n* Must be a Fircrest resident to participate.
