On April 14th, the City Council authorized a ballot measure to renew the 6-year Emergency Medical Services Levy to be placed on the August 4th primary ballot. The renewal of the EMS levy would remain the same at $.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation. The City is seeking members of committees to write the Pro and Con statements for the voters pamphlet. Members should be available to work together to draft these statements. Based on deadlines set by the Pierce County Auditor’s Office, statements are due to the Clerk by May 11, 2020. Each committee can consist of 3 members, but can also ask the advice of other individuals.
Please submit your interest in serving on the Pro or Con committee by Thursday, May 7 at 5pm, by emailing the City Clerk Jayne Westman at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 253-238-4123.
