General Business License

The City of Fircrest requires a general business license for:

  • Businesses located in Fircrest
  • Home-based businesses in Fircrest (See Below)
  • Short-term rentals (Airbnb, VRBO) (also requires a short-term rental permit)
  • Contractors conducting business in Fircrest
  • Solicitors and temporary businesses in Fircrest (also requires a transient merchant license)

Licenses are processed as an endorsement with the Department of Revenue Business License Service.

Home Occupation Permit

The City of Fircrest requires a home occupation permit in addition to the general business license for businesses being conducted in or from their residence. This includes home offices, web-based businesses, consultants, and the like.

Home Occupation Fees
Type I-A – $25
Type I-B – $50
Type II – See Type III-A  (2018 Fee Schedule)

Home Occupation Permits are processed as an endorsement with the Department of Revenue Business License Service.

 

Short-term Rentals – new

The City of Fircrest requires a short-term rental permit in addition to the general business license for businesses being conducted in or from their residence. This includes individual room rental or entire houses. There is a one-time fee of $150.00. If you are renting more than two rooms, a conditional use permit will be required as well. Please contact the Planning and Building staff for more information.
