We’re excited to present the 2023 LIGHTS of Fircrest Touring Guide! We have 50 entries this year that are sure to WOW and impress!

IF you feel so inclined, we encourage you walk a neighborhood at a time and enjoy the lights on foot. And there are many other fun displays to see that aren’t entered in the event.

All the beautiful displays you are about to enjoy are set in our neighborhoods. There are many walkers and bikers. Please be mindful of the SPEED LIMIT. Please drive cautiously and carefully as you view the displays through the neighborhoods. Thank you!

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2023 LIGHTS OF FIRCREST: MAKING FIRCREST BRIGHT! DISPLAY CONTEST! Floss & Fido Family Dentistry and Fircrest Parks & Recreation invite all Fircrest residents to take part in the 4th Annual LIGHTS of FIRCREST Outdoor Holiday Display Contest. Are you ready to make Fircrest MERRY & BRIGHT?! Let’s welcome the holiday season in a big way and make Fircrest the most sparkly and bright city in the Pacific NW!

 

We have some fun new categories to announce for the 2023 Contest!

OUTDOOR Christmas or Holiday TREE: The best decorated outdoor tree (you can decorate any ONE special real tree in your yard OR fill your yard with fake decorated trees… It’s up to you!)

The NORTH POLE AWARD: This is for the Brightest & Merriest Street / Cul-de-sac. The winners of this award will have the most decorated homes in a row on your street or cul-de-sac.

BEST USE OF HOLIDAY CHARACTERS: Create a holiday scene with famous characters (Frosty, Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, Buddy the Elf, etc.).

BEST USE OF ANIMATION: Use lights and music to bring your Winter Wonderland to life.

GRISWOLD AWARD: Because you can never have too many lights! Think about making your home visible from outer space!

 

The rules are simple:

Think merry. Think bright. Think creative.

And most important: Have FUN!

 

Here’s how it works.

Registration deadline is Tuesday, December 5th at 5:00pm.

 

Each home participating in the LIGHTS of FIRCREST will receive a yard sign to display in a visible location in their yard. Exception: North Pole Category: one home will enter for the entire street.

 

Displays must be ready for viewing by no later than Sunday, December 10th.

Preliminary judging happens between December 13-15. Final judging takes place on Monday December 18th.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 20th.

And the BEST part … we’ll all get to enjoy the beauty of our decorated City! An electronic list of registered homes, for self-guided tours, will be available on the City of Fircrest Website and City Facebook event page. Paper copies will also be available at the Fircrest Community Center (ONLY addresses will be listed. Names will NOT be included.)

NO COST TO ENTER

Must be a Fircrest resident to participate in the contest.

 

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:

 

December 5: Registration deadline

December 10: Homes are decorated and ready for viewing

December 13: Receive your participant yard sign

December 13-15: First round of judging!

December 18: Final judging

December 20:  Winners announced
