Senior Day Trip to the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival

Who loves flowers and who loves to garden? If you do, our next Senior Trip is for you. Join us as we celebrate “Spring Vibes Only” with over 20 display gardens, more than 90 free seminars and workshops, and thousands of treasures in the garden marketplace. The Northwest Flower & Garden Festival is the best annual event to gather ideas and inspiration for beautiful living spaces. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting to dig on the dirt, there’s something for everyone!

 

 

 


Senior Day Trip to The Museum of Flight

Come travel through time and space with us! The Museum of Flight is full of an incredible collection of aircraft, spacecraft, artifacts, galleries, exhibits, facts and stories that embody the past, present and future of flight.

We will be enjoying lunch in the Museum. You are welcome to bring your own, purchase lunch from the Museum Cafe, or select the Espresso Yourself Add-On and we will pick up your lunch.

Please select which lunch option you would like when registering. If you would like us to order you an Espresso Yourself lunch, you can select Turkey, Ham & Swiss, or Tantalizing Tuna.

 

 


 

Gentle Yoga

Program Type: Adult Fitness

Learn and practice yoga to build strength, increase flexibility, and improve balance. This one-hour class includes seated, standing and balance postures, stretching, relaxation and yogic breathing. Bring your yoga mat, blanket/towel, water bottle and yoga blocks if you have them. Gentle hatha yoga classes meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 10am. Join us for movement, community and connection!

 


 

Chair Yoga

Program Type: Adult Fitness

Learn and practice gentle yoga utilizing a chair for support. Class will include seated and standing yoga poses, stretching, balance practice, yogic breath and relaxation. Movement in class is designed to build strength, increase flexibility and improve balance. Bring a yoga mat and a water bottle. Class meets on Wednesdays from 10:30-11:30am. Join us for movement, community and connection!

 


 

Yin Yoga & Meditation

Program Type: Adult Fitness

Introduction to Yin Yoga + Meditation Thursdays
Starting January 12th
Bring your yoga mat, blanket/towel, water bottle, and, if you have them, yoga blocks and bolster, and/or meditation cushion.

Yin yoga provides deep stretches for the active, deep relaxation for the stressed and a focusing preparation for meditation. Breath work, or pranayama, can activate, relax and focus. Meditation provides relaxation, mental focus and an opportunity to explore one’s spiritual life. This series will combine the three and is designed as an exploration of meditation for beginners and those who think they “just can’t meditate”, as well as an exploration for those with some experience.

This series flows through 6 weeks of classes on Thursdays at 6:15pm, ending at 7:30. Classes start January 12th, with the final class on February 16th. Registration is for all classes in the series.

 


 

Drop-In Pickleball

We host 3 courts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for competitive pickleball drop in games. We have paddles and balls that can be checked out, and a few house rules posted in the gym.

The Gathering Room

Come enjoy our new Senior Mornings program in the gathering room. Freshly brewed coffee, local rotating doughnuts, and even the days newspaper are all provided for by a generous donation. We hope you enjoy socializing with other Fircrest seniors and bring your friends!

 

 


 

Bridge for Beginners

Program Type: Adult Activities

The perfect way to get you started. This weekly meeting is ideal for anyone new to the game, returning to bridge after a break or for those who have played for some time, but would like some formal instruction.

Seniors are encouraged to participate in this free activity!
