Pierce County is starting the process of updating its Rivers Flood Hazard Management Plan with a goal to complete the update by April 2018. The plan is a comprehensive approach to reduce damages and protect public safety from major river flooding and channel migration.  The County will be sending information to City residents, most likely in early 2018.  Residents can view the County website regarding the plan update process and leave comments for the County to review and consider.
