The route may seem a little round-about, but please know that this is intentional. There are MANY beautiful displays around town that aren’t signed up. We want you to enjoy it all!
IF you feel so inclined, we encourage you walk a neighborhood at a time and enjoy the lights on foot. And there are many other fun displays to see that aren’t entered in the event.
All the beautiful displays you are about to enjoy are set in our neighborhoods. There are many walkers and bikers. Please drive cautiously and carefully as you view the displays through the neighborhoods. Please be mindful of the SPEED LIMIT. Thank you!

Outdoor Holiday Display Contest
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2024 LIGHTS OF FIRCREST DISPLAY CONTEST!
Floss & Fido Family Dentistry and Fircrest Parks & Recreation invite our Fircrest residents to take part in the Annual LIGHTS of FIRCREST Outdoor Holiday Display Contest. Are you ready to make Fircrest MERRY & BRIGHT?! Let’s welcome the holiday season in a big way and make Fircrest the most sparkly and bright city in the Pacific NW!
2024 Lights of Fircrest Contest Categories:
BEST OUTDOOR Holiday TREE: The best decorated outdoor tree. You can decorate ONE or ALL the special real trees in your yard OR fill your yard with fake decorated trees… It’s up to you!
MOST TRADITIONAL / CLASSIC: Create a display with classic traditional or vintage holiday design.
BEST USE OF HOLIDAY CHARACTERS: Create a holiday SCENE with famous characters such as Frosty, Santa & Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, Buddy the Elf, etc. This does NOT mean just filling your yard with inflatables 
BEST USE OF ANIMATION: Use lights and music to bring your Winter Wonderland to life.
CLARK GRISWOLD AWARD: Because you can never have too many lights! Think about making your home visible from outer space!
NEW THIS YEAR!!!! Want to decorate and be a part of the Fircrest Holiday FUN … but NOT enter the contest? Sign up to be a SPARKLE BRIGHT SITE! We’ll include you on the map but not in the competition! You’ll receive a SPARKLE BRIGHT SITE sign to post in your yard.
The rules are simple:
Think merry. Think bright. Think creative.
And most important: Have FUN!
Here’s how it works.
Complete the registeration by Friday, December 6 at 5:00 pm. Here’s the link to sign up:
Each home participating in the LIGHTS of FIRCREST and SPARKLE BRIGHT SITE will receive a yard sign to display in a visible location in their yard. (Space is limited)
Displays must be ready for viewing by no later than Tuesday, December 10th.
Preliminary judging happens between December 16 – 17
Final judging takes place on December 19
SPARKLE BRIGHT SITE participants will not be a part of the judging process.
Winners will be announced on December 23
And the BEST part … our community will get to enjoy the beauty of our decorated City!
An electronic list of registered homes, for self-guided tours, will be available on the City of Fircrest Website and City Facebook event page. Paper copies will also be available at the Fircrest Community Center (ONLY addresses will be listed. Names will NOT be included.)
