Scarecrows & Skeletons of Fircrest

The murder of crows is beginning to amass around Fircrest! This is our cue to begin planning our displays for the 2026 SCARECROWS and SKELETONS of FIRCREST! Registration opens on September 1st!
Let’s turn the fall doldrums into a fun season filled with a collection of whimsical, spooky and creative skeletons and scarecrows! Imagine all the fun we’ll have strolling through our community and checking out all the fall festivities!
So here are the details:
- Your display can include a single creative scarecrow, skeleton OR create a huge display with both!
- Bigger isn’t always better! It’s up to you!
- Be creative.
- Think outside the box.
- Have FUN.
- Keep it clean (PG rated for our young community members).
- Your display must be visible from the street.
It’s FREE to enter. And prizes and bragging rights included for the winning entries!!
Space is limited.
To participate, fill out the JotForm registration and have your display ready by the required time deadline.
And the challenge is on!
SCARECROWS & SKELETONS Timeline:
Wednesday, Sept. 1: Registration begins!
Friday, Oct. 2: City building displays completed to inspire and motivate!
Friday, Oct. 9: Registration deadline
Friday, Oct. 16: Homes are decorated and ready to view! / Distribute yard signs
Saturday, Oct. 17: Maps and route are ready for the community!
Thursday, Oct. 29: The Judging!
Thursday, Oct. 29: Deadline for the People’s Choice ballots
Friday, Oct. 30: Winners announced!

An electronic list of registered homes, for self-guided tours, will be available on the City of Fircrest Website and City Facebook event page. Paper copies will be available at the Fircrest Community Center.
