Story Walk & Talk in the Park

July 9, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

| Free

We’re kicking off our first Fircrest Story Walk!

Join us at the Fircrest TOT LOT on Friday, July 9th at 10 am or 11 am.
StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book are installed along the TOT LOT fence. As you stroll down the Park, you’re directed to the next page in the story. *
We’re featuring the book We had FUN in Quarantine by local Author Lacey Heinz & Illustrator, Hannah Moore. AND you’ll get to meet them at this event!
Their fun talk will be geared with young children in mind, and include how they created this book and encourage your little ones to express their own creativity. We Had Fun in Quarantine is a lighthearted account of what one family does to make quarantine fun, as told through the eyes of a child. Written with beginning readers in mind, this children’s book serves as an excellent tool for educators and parents alike.
This Event Includes:
