In the RFQ issued on October 6, 2017, the City of Fircrest reserved the right to modify its RFQ. In order to encourage the submission of more proposals from area architectural design firms, the City of Fircrest is making the following modifications to the RFQ:
- The City may choose to engage under a separate agreement the services of a municipal financial advisor. Such firm would be tasked with providing guidance on alternative funding strategies for the project.
- The City modifies the provisions of Items #3 and #4 under submittal requirements to encourage applicants with less than three specific aquatic projects in their experience portfolio.
- The revised deadline to submit proposals is extended to November 10, 2017.
Purpose: The City of Fircrest wishes to encourage firms with excellent design experience to apply. Any applicant still must be able to demonstrate that the proposed team has sufficient skills and experience to guide a public process which will result in a right sized project to address community needs for a good functioning pool and recreation center.
